Cooking Up Smiles: SYSU International Joins QC SSDD’s Nutrition Month Celebration
Food, fun, and games went hand in hand last June 26, 2026, as SYSU International, Inc. took part in the Quezon City Social Services Development Department’s (QC SSDD) Nutrition Month celebration at the QC M.I.C.E. Center. The event brought together teachers from daycare centers across the different districts of Quezon City for a morning filled with games, learning, and of course, great tasting food.

Guess the Word, Nutri Henyo Style
The celebration kicked off with energy as participants played “Nutri Henyo,” a Nutrition Month-themed take on the classic Pinoy Henyo game. Instead of random words, players had to guess terms tied to food, dishes, and nutrients, putting their nutrition know-how to the test while keeping the room laughing. Teachers cheered each other on, making it clear that learning about nutrition can be just as fun as it is informative.

A Taste of What’s Possible
After the games, it was time to eat. SYSU International’s Culinary Solutions Team (CST), led by Chef Kate Sangalang, prepared food samples for the teachers to enjoy. Each dish was thoughtfully developed using Clara Olé and other SYSU products together with SYSU’s nutritionist, Charlene Agosila, who helped curate the lineup to ensure every item served real nutritional value. The CST made Cheesy Pesto Veggies & Pasta, Hawaiian Chicken BBQ, No-Bake Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Bars, and Calamansi Ginger Coolers, each one designed to show that nutritious food doesn’t have to come from a complicated recipe. The dishes were made using simple, easy-to-follow preparations, a reminder that quality meals can be put together quickly, even with a busy daycare teacher’s schedule in mind.

Shop the Flavors
Beyond the tasting, a mini kiosk gave participants the chance to purchase the very products used in the sampling, including Clara Olé sauces, marinades, jams and syrups alongside other SYSU offerings. It was the perfect way for teachers to bring home a taste of the celebration with them, and to start incorporating these products into their own kitchens.

Building Partnerships, One Event at a Time
For SYSU International, Inc., participating in community events like this is more than just about sampling food. It’s an opportunity to connect with local government units (LGUs) and contribute meaningful solutions to the food and beverage industry. By joining hands with the QC SSDD for this year’s Nutrition Month celebration, SYSU International, Inc. hopes to continue building partnerships with LGUs across the country, supporting communities one delicious and nutritious dish at a time.
