SYSU International, Inc. Makes Its Mark at the FCAP Assembly
There’s always a first time for everything — and for SYSU International, Inc., joining the Food Caterers Association of the Philippines (FCAP) Assembly last July 29, 2026 at the World Trade Center, Manila marked an exciting new chapter in the company’s journey within the food and beverage industry.

Representing SYSU International, Inc. at the assembly was Chef Avery Manaloto, Marketing Manager for Food Service of SYSU International, Inc. who was there not just to attend, but to introduce SYSU International and its brands to a room full of food catering professionals. For Chef Avery, the timing couldn’t have been more right.
Tapping Into a Sector Ready for Solutions
The food catering industry is a space that runs on consistency, quality, and efficiency — values that align perfectly with what SYSU International has always stood for. Chef Avery recognized that catering businesses, given the scale and demands of their operations would benefit greatly from what SYSU International and its flagship brands have to offer. During the assembly, Chef Avery took the floor to formally introduce SYSU International, Inc. to the participants, along with two of its key brands: Clara Olé and Tastesetters.
A Familiar Name, and a Powerful Counterpart
It came as no surprise that Clara Olé was already a familiar name in the room. Given that many catering businesses trace their roots back to home cooking, Clara Olé — long recognized as a trusted household brand for sauces and marinades — already had a strong foothold in the hearts of many participants.
But the introduction of Tastesetters as Clara Olé’s counterpart for the food service line was where things got interesting. Positioned specifically for food service and food business applications, Tastesetters carries the same commitment to quality while being designed with the demands of the industry in mind.
Products That Speak for Themselves
Chef Avery walked the participants through the Tastesetters Savory and Sweet (Pastry) lines, and the reaction from the room was telling — they were interested. Two things stood out to the participants right away: the products being shelf stable and their ease of handling and incorporation into existing dishes. For catering businesses that juggle large volumes and tight schedules, these qualities are not just convenient — they’re essential.

The presentation also covered the latest products from Clara Olé, many of which drew fresh attention from participants who had previously known the brand mainly through its sauces. Seeing the expanded range — from multi-purpose sauces to cake spreads — reinforced just how wide the Clara Olé lineup has grown, offering even more options for caterers looking to level up their menus.
Chef Avery also introduced the other brand partners under the SYSU International umbrella, further emphasizing how well-equipped and well-rounded SYSU International is in providing solutions for businesses in the food service space.
Beyond the products themselves, Chef Avery also highlighted that Tastesetters is open to conducting workshops tailored specifically for catering businesses — a commitment that goes beyond just supplying products. By offering hands-on learning experiences, Tastesetters aims to work closely with these businesses to better understand and address their unique needs, ensuring that the solutions provided would help them in their operations.

To cap off the assembly engagement, participants were sent home with loot bags filled with product samples from Clara Olé, Tastesetters, and McCormick — along with an invitation to visit the Tastesetters and Clara Olé booth at the SMX Convention Center, where WOFEX 2026 was simultaneously being held. The invitation was warmly received, and it was particularly gratifying to see several participants and even the president of FCAP visiting our booth. It was a sign that the connections made at the assembly were already beginning to bear fruit.

SYSU International’s decision to join the FCAP Assembly was a deliberate and strategic one — a clear signal of the company’s commitment to making its presence felt in the food catering sector. By bringing relevant products, genuine solutions, and a deep understanding of the industry’s needs, SYSU International is positioning itself as a trusted partner for catering businesses across the country. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to growing alongside the food catering community — one dish, one solution, and one partnership at a time.
