TasteSetters® and Clara Olé Shape the Next Generation of Filipino Food Trendsetters at Sumbing Sangkap 2025
Cainta, Rizal — Emerging food trends and the celebration of Filipino cuisine took center stage as TasteSetters®, in collaboration with Clara Olé, led the Sumbing Sangkap 2025 — held from November 24 – 27, 2025 at FEU Roosevelt and One Cainta Elementary School.
Sumbing Sangkap officially opened on November 24 at the FEU Roosevelt, Cainta campus with an opening ceremony featuring students from FEU Roosevelt performing traditional Filipino dances with a modern twist, capturing the forward-looking spirit of the Filipino people.
As the competition unfolded, aspiring chefs from senior high, college, and at the professional level took on a series of culinary challenges that pushed creativity and innovation. From reinventing classic Filipino desserts to elevating humble, yet vibrant street food through the Plated Filipino Street Food Challenge, participants evolved familiar flavors in line with the times.
Beyond the competition, TasteSetters® and Clara Olé’s used Sumbing Sangkap as a platform to inspire individuals about the upcoming Taste Trends of 2026-2027, which was led by Chef Avery, Chef Richard “Bogs” Condeño, and the renowned Ms. Sandy Cu. Using Clara Ole products, the chefs crafted their interpretation of emerging trends and innovative dishes that resonated strongly with students.
The momentum carried through to the final day on November 27 at the One Cainta Elementary School auditorium, where the competition finals and closing ceremonies took place — with competitors presenting refined interpretations of humble Filipino dishes, showcasing confidence, creativity, and a deep respect for local flavors.
Sumbing Sangkap 2025 concluded as more than just a competition, it gave rise to aspiring individuals equipped to push Filipino Cuisine to the next level. Their dedication towards empowering the next generation is a testament to what TasteSetters is all about — setting the standard of food and beverages for generations to come.
